Tender Fights – 2 killed in gun fight in Chittagong, Bangladesh

Chittagong, June 24: Two people including a minor boy were killed and another youth was injured during a gunfight between two groups of terrorists over dropping a railway tender in the city’s CRB hill on Monday noon.  The victims were identified as passers by Arman Hossain, 08,  son of Siddique Ahmed of nearby slum, and Saju, 28.

Witnesses said the activists of the two terrorist groups who  want to control tender on behalf of Royal Associate Construction  engaged in the gun battle over dropping tender at the Railway East Zone headquarters, CRB Bhaban, under Kotwali Police Station around 12 pm.

Three passersby received bullet injuries in the gunfight. Of  them, Arman and Saju succumbed to their injuries on the way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Another unidentified injured youth was also rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.  Railway east zone called tender to renovate Bhadshala Rail Station of Dhaka- Chittagong rail line and a crossing at Feni at a cost of Taka 48 lakh.
