Sasaram (SSM): A goods train derailed today near Kumhau railway station on Mughal Sarai Division of East Central Railway in Bihar’s Rohtas district affecting train services on Gaya-Mughal Sarai section on the ECR zone but there was no report of any casualty, a railway official said.
Twenty three coal-laden wagons of a goods train derailed due to mechanical problem at around 12.20 PM, Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of Mughal Sarai Division Ashis Kumar said.
No casualty or injury to anyone has been reported in the derailment, he said.
The train service on Gaya-Mughal Sarai section has been disrupted due to damage to the track following derailment, he added.
A team of railway engineers from Mughal Sarai have been rushed to the spot to repair the track, the DCM said, adding the train service will be restored by tonight.
