35 injured in train mishap near Chitradurga

Chitradurga (Karnataka), Jun 25:  Thirty five persons were injured when a railway engine rammed into a stationary Mysore-bound passenger train at Chikkajajur in Chitradurga district this evening, police said.

The Hubli-Arsikere-Mysore train had halted at the station when the incident happened due to a mix up in signal that resulted in the engine coming on the same track, they said.

South Western Railway, Hubli Division had depute the officials from its Operating, Traffic, Engineering and Medical departments to render rescue and relief operations.
