SECUNDERABAD: South Central Railway has launched an intensive drive throughout the Zone to eliminate irregularities in areas of public interface like Booking Offices, Reservation Offices, Parcel Offices, Trains and Platforms etc,. The drive to curb irregularities was held from 1st – 10th February, 2018. A total number of 676 checks have been undertaken to streamline the system.
This ten day Vigilance Drive includes 298 checks in Booking Offices, 122 checks in Reservation Offices, 77 checks in Parcel Offices, 108 checks in Trains and 71 checks on Platform have been conducted in all the six Divisions i.e., Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded of the Zone.
The Vigilance Drive covered all the major stations on the Zone involving officers of Commercial, Security and Vigilance departments. During the drive, 69 employees were found to be responsible for irregularities observed and action is being initiated accordingly. During this drive the public was advised to report Vigilance related irregularities on Helpline Number 155210 through announcements and display boards at all stations.
