Accord Priority to complete new Rail Line works as per Target: says GM/SCR in the Works Review Meeting

SECUNDERABAD: Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway conducted works review meeting with all the Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs), Construction and Engineering Officials at Rail Nilayam today i.e., 12th December,2017 for completion of works / projects which are in progress on South Central Railway during the current fiscal. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions in SCR viz., Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined through video conference.

Addressing the meeting, Vinod Kumar Yadav called upon the officials to expedite work plans in co-ordination with other departments by clearing bottle necks and ensure completion of projects as per the targeted schedules. The General Manager stressed upon taking utmost care regarding work proposals, estimates and drawings etc., so that the actual execution is carried out without any constraints. The General Manager undertook meticulous examination of the entire status and progress of ongoing projects including Nadikude – Sri Kalahasti, Manoharabad – Kothapalli , Akkannapet – Medak, Nandyal – Yerraguntla and MMTS phase- II project etc.

The General Manager held a detailed review on the progress of works related to Traffic Facilities, Level Crossings, Passenger Amenities, Road Over Bridges (ROBs), Road Under Bridges (RUBs), Yard Works, extension of platforms, Track Doubling works, Track Tripling works, Laying of new Railway Lines etc., Vijay Agarwal, Chief Administrative Officer/Construction and the Chief Engineers holding charge for various projects made a detailed presentation on the status of works / projects under progress.

John Thomas, Additional General Manager, K.V.Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Engineer; N. Madhusudana Rao, Principal Chief Operations Manager; Vinay Mohan Srivastava, Principal Chief Signal & Telecommunications Engineer, Arjun Mundiya, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer and P.Srinivas, Chief Project Manager, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited were amongst the officials present.
