New Delhi: The Centre has given ‘in-principle’ clearance for rail connectivity to the Astrang port. This was disclosed by Minister of State for Railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
Similar clearance has been given for rail connectivity to ports of Jaigarh, Rewas and Dighi in Maharashtra and Hazira and Tuna in Gujrat, he said.
He informed that the rail connectivity to Dhamara port had already been commissioned. Two coal connectivity projects in Chhatisgarh are also being undertaken through joint venture route under the policy, he said.
