Bhopal Division launches series of special trains to ply from this month

A special train between Habibganj and Guwahati will ply on May 16. Bhopal Railway Division has launched the special train to decrease the waiting list for reserved berths in the train designated to Guwahati.

It is worth mentioning that only three trains for Guwahati ply from Itarsi that too, four days a week, residents of State Capital has been demanding direct train to Guwahati for last several years but in vain. Train number 01651 will start from Habibganj at 6:20 pm on Thursday and will reach Guwahati on Saturday at 11:50 am.

The special train will have only 12 coaches in which six will be sleeper class coaches, four general coaches and two SLRs. No Air Conditioned coaches will be attached to the trains. The train will halt at major stations like Itarsi junction, Pipariya, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Mugalsaray, Patna, Bakhtiyaarpur, Baroni, Katihar junction, Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, New Coochbehar, New Bongaigaon, Kamakhya and Rangiya junction.

Railway administration has started special train between Nagpur and Ajmer for Urs fair. Train number 01401 will start from Nagpur on Thursday at 8:45 am and will reach Bhopal Railway Station at 4:15 pm on the same day and will reach Ajmer on Friday at 7:40 am. The special train will have second AC, third AC and sleeper class compartments besides the general coaches.

Railway administration has also started a weekly express train between Amritsar and Huzur Saheb Nanded railway stations which will halt at major stations of State —Gwalior, Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal and Itarsi. Member of Parliament (MP) Bhaskarrao Patil Khatgaonkar flagged off the train number 12421 Nanded-Amritsar express from Huzur Saheb Nanded on Wednesday. The routine plying of train will start from May 20.
