Mumbai: Central Railway will run 8 reserved Tatkal special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Madgaon to clear the extra rush of passengers.
This is the first time that a Tatkal Special is run on Indian Railway. Last week, he railway board allowed zonal railways to run holiday special train as Tatkal special.
CR spokesperson said, “There will be no dynamic fare on this reserved tatkal special trains. The bookings can be done both at computerized reservation centres and internet.
Train No. 1005 will leave LTT at 12.45 am on May 9 and May 16. It will reach Madgaon at 11.30 am the same day.
Train No. 1006 will leave from Madgaon at 12.30 am on May 9 and May 16 and arrive at LTT on the same day at 11.45 pm.
Train No. 1045 special train will leave LTT at 1.10 am on May 10 and May 17. It will reach Madgaon the same day at 12.30 pm.
Likewise, 01046 special train will leave Madgaon at 4 pm on May 10 and May 17. It will arrive LTT at 3.30 am next day.
CR said, “Both these specials will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali.
The train composition includes one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tier, seven Sleeper Class, six general second class and two general second class cum guard’s brake vans
The spokesperson said, “Bookings for both the trips will open on May 8.”
