Central Railway train services hit due to OHE snag at Dadar

Mumbai: Peak hour services on Central Railway’s main line were affected because of break down in Over Head Equipment (OHE) wires at Dadar on Tuesday.

Central Railway spokesperson said, “The OHE broke at 8.13pm on platform number 3 at Dadar because of which CST-bound slow trains were diverted on fast corridor between Vidyavihar and Matunga.”

Commuters had a hard time traveling as the diversion of train affected punctuality on all four lines.

Commuters complained that train were running 30 minutes behind schedule in CST direction. As a result, trains running in Kalyan direction were also leaving late from CST.

This incident also caused delay in arrival and departure of long distance trains .

However, heavy rains did not cause any flooding on tracks either on Central Railway or Western Railway. Trains were running as per schedule on Western Railway.
