Chandigarh to Ludhiana rail link inspected

The Chandigarh-Ludhiana rail link was inspected today by the Chief Commissioner of Rail Safety (CCRS). The inspection team was led by RK Kardam, northern circle, CCRS. Divisional Railway Manager PK Sangi of the Ambala division was also present during the inspection. The team inspected 17 km track from New Morinda to Khamano.

During the inspection, the team inspeced the works related to mechanical, civil, electrical, bridges, signal engineering service and over head electrical wires.

After inspecting the rail link, a report will be prepared on the basis of which the permission to ply the trains will be given to the authorities.

As per the norms, the railway authorities cannot ply the trains on the track till a team of CCRS inspects it.

The rail link will be inspected for three days from April 13 to 15 by the CCRS team. Sources said that no major loopholes were pointed out by the team during inspection.
