China Railway introduces new express goods service

China Railway Corporation, a subsidiary of the former Ministry of Railways (MOR), has launched a new express cargo service to offer improved logistics services.

The company will start delivery of cargo door-to-door via its express cargo service from 15 June 2013, under which clients place orders either online or by call.

The services offered by the goods service include bulk transport of goods including coal, oil and iron ore, as well as high-speed train delivery of small express packages.

Logistics industry in China has reported revenue of CNY 17.7 trillion (USD 2.9trillion) during 2012, a 9.8% year-on-year increase.
