Jaipur (JP): If the reports coming from the sources are to be believed the Jaipurites will have to wait till August to ride in metro, as the process of commencing Jaipur Metro operations between Mansarovar and Chandpole Metro stations though has gained momentum, but the schedule of commercial run has been postponed for a month, which was earlier dated in June-July.
The Lucknow-based Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) team began oscillation and emergency braking distance (EBD) trials from Sunday. The first day of the trial went in the well anticipated well.
During the trial director JMRC, Ashwini Saxena said, oscillation would continue for entire month of march, following which team of Railway ministry would test the fitness of coach in April. Then in June-July safety commissioner of metro train would make sure all the majors before flagging a green signal for the metro to run in August this year.
Saxena further added, “the train was tested at the speed of 50 kmph initially, later, the speed was increased to 60, 70, 80 kmph. On Monday, the train will be tested between 90 and 95 kmph (maximum speed).”
