NEW DELHI: Delhi Police believes the MMS showing a couple getting intimate inside a Metro train was shot and leaked from a CCTV monitoring room on DMRC network.
A highly placed source in Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police told that “the clip seen on YouTube was recorded by a staff member with a cellphone as the footage played on control room monitors”. Several DMRC officials have been questioned already, and arrests will begin after reports from YouTube and CFSL on the footage and IP address from which it was uploaded come in.
The officer, however, refused to divulge more information, saying that the probe is at a crucial stage. “In a few weeks, we will have all details,” he added.
Recently, different videos had surfaced on YouTube showing couples getting intimate on Metro trains or the stairs. Follwing this recent incident, a series of meetings had taken place between DMRC and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which provides security for Delhi Metro, to resolve the monitoring issue. CISF had earlier claimed that they only control the security, while database of CCTV footages is stored with DMRC.
Delhi Police is probing one video in the incident while other videos, allegedly to be shot or leaked from metro, are not formally under probe. The case has been registered under stringent Information Technology Act and cops hope to arrest the accused person (s) very soon.
