Delhi High court today issued contempt of court notice to the Director General (DG) Railway Protection Force (RPF), IG Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) and the Director, Security Railway Board for disobeying the directions of the Court
नयी दिल्ली New Delhi: The order disobeyed by the contemnor are dated on November 19 2013, March 10, 2014 and April 15, 2014.
Justice Sudhershan Kumar Mishra issued contempt notices to Krishna Choudhary, DG RPF; Anup Srivastava, IG RPSF and Sheela Verma, Director (ABE), Secretary Railway Board New Delhi for defying the court order.
The respondents were directed to transfer the petitioner Girish K V, a constable driver in RPSF, from Delhi to RPF Kerala, where his wife is posted as constable in RPF.
On March 10, 2014 the contemnor had given an undertaking to the court that they will pass an appropriate order complying to the court order. They did not carry out the orders of the court.
On April 15, 2014, two-judge bench of the High Court again directed them to abide by the undertaking given by them before the court of Justice Mishra.
The respondents transferred him from Delhi to Tamil Nadu instead of shifting him to Kerala.
The transfer order dated February 20, 2014 was stayed by another two-judge bench on March 3 this year.
On April 25, 2014 they again passed the same order without giving any reasons.
The High Court has granted them four weeks time to respond and has fixed October 28 as the next date of hearing.
According to the counsel for the petitioner, the conduct of the officer concerned has dealt a stunning blow to the dignity and sanctity of the judicial proceedings and the court orders have been dealt with in a scandalous, dubious and a contemptuous manner reducing the judicial proceedings to a farce.
