Directs trains to Shirdi from Maharashtra, Andhra, Karnataka & TN while North India still waits

CHANDIGARH: Even as Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal is yet to announce the date for the commencement of the Kalka-Sainagar Shirdi train, various railway divisions have started 10 direct trains from various parts of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to Shirdi. Currently, the New Delhi-Sainagar train is the railway’s only direct rail link between Shirdi and North India. In his maiden budget, the Railway minister had announced a weekly train between Kalka-Chandigarh and Shirdi.

Officials in Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan, Shirdi said that newly rolled out trains shall facilitate thousands of devotes reaching Shirdi from the three states. Shirdi Sainagar Railway station, Shirdi is on Manmad- Ahmednagar highway and 2 kms away from Shirdi town.

Currently, the Sainagar-Mumbai fast passenger train Number 51034 departs from Shirdi daily at 16.40 and Sainagar-Dadar train number 12132 departs from here on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 22.25. While the Sainagar-Pandharpur Express Train number 11001 leaves Shirdi station on every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 05.00 in the morning.

Sainagar-Sikandarbad express train number 17001 will travel on Monday and Saturday, only at 17.10, and Sainagar- Kakinada express number 17205 will depart from Shirdi at 17.10 on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Sainagar-Vijaywada express train number 17207 will leave Shirdi station on every Wednesday at 17.10. on the other hand, the Sainagar-Hawarh express train number 22893 will leave Shirdi station on every Saturday at 13.55.

Sainagar-Chennai express train number 22602 has its time of departure at 8.25 on every Friday, while Sainagar- Vishakhapattanam express train number 22802 travels from Shirdi at 19.10 on every Friday.

Sainagar-Mysore express train number 16218 leaves Shirdi on every Tuesday at 23.55.
