नयी दिल्ली New Delhi: The first Batch of 10 Engineers from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation was due to arrive from Kuala Lumpur last month as part of a tunnelling training programme to support construction of Phase 3 of the Delhi metro network.

Jointly operated by engineering groups MMC and Gamuda, the Kuala Lumpur academy opened in December 2011 and has hosted around 500 tunnelling engineers to date.

DMRC expects to have up to 35 TBMs in use on the Phase 3 work to excavate 53 km of bored tunnel.
