DRM/Vadodara conducts Seminar on Signal Passing at Danger (SPAD)

VADODARA: The Vadodara railway division of Western Railway recently conducted a safety seminar on “Prevention of SPAD” at the zonal electric training centre at Vadodara yard.

The seminar on signal passing at danger (SPAD) was addressed by divisional railway manager of Vadodara railway division Devendra Kumar who addressed a gathering of loco pilots, assistant loco pilots and chief loco pilots.

H L Meena, senior safety officer, Binay Kumar, senior electrical engineer (traction rolling operation), Harikesh Meena, senior electrical engineer (traction rolling stock), Pradeep Gupta and other railway staffs were present on the occasion.

The railway division had recently also organised an awareness workshop on menstrual hygiene of women and girls by Vatsalya Foundation and women safety on railways by Baroda Citizen Council at the waiting room of Vadodara railway station.

Short films were also shown on women empowerment, managing menstrual hygiene with eco-friendly incinerator and women safety on railways during the workshop.
