Eight coaches, engine derail on SECR

NAGPUR: In another blow to the railways, eight coaches and the engine of the Gondia-Wadsa passenger derailed near Wadegaon on Sunday at 21.35 Hrs. As the mishap site falls in Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district, sabotage cannot be ruled out. South East Central Railway divisional commercial manager SK Kshetrapal said the mishap took place when the passenger train had just left Wadegaon station and was 4km away from Wadsa. “There are no reports of any injuries or casualties,” he said Kshetrapal.

DRM SK Verma along with senior officials have rushed to the spot.
