MUMBAI: The Central Railway will run eight special trains between Panvel and CST via Thane to clear the rush of commuters during the megablock till 3 pm.
The special trains will run from CST to Thane via Main line and then switch to Trans-harbour to go to Panvel.
From CST to Thane, it will halt at Masjid Bunder, Sandhurst Road, Byculla, Dadar and Kurla. The special trains will depart CST at 10.31 am, 11.40 am, 12.53 pm and 1.49 pm, railway officials said.
In the reverse direction from Panvel to CST, the special trains will be available today at Panvel at 10.35 am, 11.24 am, 12.45 pm and 1.42 pm. Said CR spokesperson A K Singh, “Due to these blocks, suburban locals will be running behind schedule. As a result of this, suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. Passengers are requested not to take any risks while travelling. They are also requested to avoid travelling on foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains.”
