Bangalore: Metro commuters have yet another saving option. Federal Bank has launched Namma Metro transit cum debit card with the BMRCL. Commuters can recharge this card and enjoy discounted travel ranging from 15-21% on fares.

Daily commuters can recharge for trips between definite selected stations up to 100 trips and avail 21% discount on each trip. One can recharge these transit cards at the bank’s ATM counters in some of the metro stations or through SMS or internet banking facility provided by Federal Bank.
These cards are available at all stations on the northern corridor that was opened for public on February 28 and at the branches of the Federal bank. This Namma Metro Card is a Visa branded debit cum transit card with additional shopping and ATM withdrawl features. This means that a customer of Federal Bank can have just one card and avail all banking services and metro rides at discounted fares.
