Filthy Act: Cops held for stealing Petrol from Railway Wagon

Akola:  Two civil policemen were caught red handed while stealing petrol from a railway wagon near Gaigaon depot 7 kms from Akola, police said.

Vijay Sawdekar, a head constable attached to Khadan police station was arrested on Tuesday while, another head constable, Subhash Date attached to the police headquarter was arrested on September 13. Both had been pilfering petrol from the railway wagons.

Thieves and policemen alike have been targeting the Gaigaon depot and pilfering petrol. They would then sell the petrol in black market to make quick money.

Railways have booked a case against them and are help in judicial custody.
