Secunderabad: Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) Chairman and Managing Director, New Delhi, Mr. Anil Kumar Gupta has said, 4 Multimodal Logistics Parks (one stop logistic solutions) are coming up at Visakhapatnam, Karimnagar, Nagulapalle and Krishnapatnam.
Participating in the silver jubilee celebrations of CONCOR, South Central Region, Hyderabad and Customer Day celebrations at Railway Officers’ Club, Secunderabad, on Friday, Gupta said that the export cargo which met a slump for a while is now picking up.
CONCOR registered a turnover of INR 47.43 crore in 2012-13 by moving 2.58 millions containers having high value export, import and domestic cargo.
Gupta added that in South Central Region, CONCOR operates four inland container depots (ICD) at Sanathnagar, Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Desur near Belgaum and a domestic container depot at Nagalapalli.
Representatives of export firms, import firms, shipping liners, business associates, freight forwarders, major corporate customers and domestic customers from all over the state who use the multi-model logistics services of CONCOR, participated in the customer day celebrations.
SCR general manager PK Srivastava lauded the growth of CONCOR in the previous 25 years and wished the CONCOR to scale to greater heights given the potentials available in the exim and domestic market.
Chief Commissioner, Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax, Hyderabad BB Prasad extolled CONCOR for its matchless service by safely moving high value finished products in containers in a specific time frame immensely contributing to the growth of business and trade and economy as a whole.
