GUNTUR: Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway, undertook annual inspection of Pagidipalli-Nadikudi-Guntur Section of Guntur Division today i.e., 16th February 2017. Vijay Sharma, Divisional Railway Manager, Guntur Division accompanied the General Manager all through the inspection.
The General Manager along with Principal Heads of Departments inspected the unmanned level crossing gate between Valigonda and Ramannapet stations, met the Gangmen working in the section and enquired on track maintenance works. Later, the General Manager halted at Ramannapet station, inspected station premises, curves and points and Railway colony etc. Giving top priority to safety, the General Manager inspected a manned level crossing gate between Ramannapet and Nalgonda Section.
At Nalgonda Railway station, Gutha Sukender Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Nalgonda along with several other public representatives met General Manager and submitted representations on various issues. Interacting with media present here the General Manager said that SCR is according top priority for passenger safety as well as provision of passenger amenities.
Between Vishnupuram and Pondugula stations, the General Manager inspected the major bridge situated on river Krishna. He enquired on the safety aspects and security measures being carried out regularly for strengthening and safeguarding the bridge. At Nadikude Junction, Vinod Kumar Yadav inspected Health Unit and Running Room.
Vinod Kumar Yadav held a meeting with Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Narasaraopet and other public representatives at Guntur Railway station and received representations on public demands regarding amenities, services etc.
Ram Kripal, Commissioner Railway Safety, South Central Circle, S.N.Singh, Principal Chief Engineer, N. Madhusudhana Rao, Chief Operations Manager, P. Ganeswara Rao, Chief Commercial Manager, D.K. Singh, Chief Safety Officer, John Thomas, Chief Electrical Engineer, P. Somkuwar, Chief Workshops Engineer, N.V. Ramana Reddy, Chief Personnel Officer, Dr. K.H.K.Dora, Chief Medical Director were amongst the officials who accompanied the General Manager and conducted department wise inspection wherever the General Manager halted for inspection.
