The company has bagged an order worth Rs 217 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam.
KOLKATA: GPT Infraprojects, the flagship company of the GPT Group, has bagged an order worth Rs.640 million from Rail Vikas Nigam with a completion period of 18 months.
The order is for construction of major bridge over river Chandrabagha, ROB and RUB with approaches at road crossings in Virbhadra-New Rishikesh-Shivpuri section of Rishikesh-Karanprayag new BG rail line project in the state of Uttarakhand.
GPT Infraprojects is an infrastructure company. It offers civil construction projects for infrastructure work such as railways, roads, airports, irrigation and urban infrastructure. The firm also has manufacturing facilities for railway concrete sleepers.
Earlier this month, the company has also bagged an order worth Rs 217 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam. The order includes construction of important and major steel girder bridges, along with foundation, substructure and related projection works in connection with Mathura-Jhansi third line in Agra and Jhansi division on North central railway in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The completion period of the said project is 36 months.
The company has reported a net profit of Rs 3 crore in the quarter ended December 2016 against net profit of Rs 3.53 in the same quarter last fiscal.
Shares of the company gained Rs 3.05, or 1.22%, to trade at Rs 252.05 at the BSE (Monday).
