Kathmandu: Nepali and Indian officials have reviewed progress in two rail line projects in Nepal. The two sides agreed to provide all necessary support for early completion of the Jogbani-Biratnagar rail line and Jaynagar-Bijalpura-Bardibas rail line.
At a recent meeting held in Kathmandu, officials from the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu dwelt on the two projects.
Sixty-eight per cent of work has been completed on the Indian side (Jogbani) and 20 per cent of work has been completed on the Nepali side (Biratnagar) so far, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said today. Nepali officials pledged to provide land required for the rail link project at the earliest.
