Inter-Railway Cultural Competitions end

Bhubaneswar (BBS): A two-day national-level Inter Railway Cultural Competition (Dance) organised by the East Coast Railway (ECoR) at Rail Vihar here concluded on Sunday. ECoR General Manager Rajiv Vishnoi distributed certificates and prizes to the outstanding participants. Vishnoi appreciated the organising committee for holding such a national-level competition and encouraging cultural activities among employees.

About 400 participants from 16 Railway Zones all over the country including eight railway production units joined the competition. In the group dance, Ganesh Gaikawad & Group of Central Railway, Mumbai; M Gopal Krishna & Group of South Central Railway, Secunderabad and Gurpreet Singh & Group of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the competition. In the individual solo dance, Mousumi Saha of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, West Bengal; Sonali Ray of ECoR and Vasundhara Sharma of Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi were placed in the first three positions, respectively. On the opening day, East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation President Shalini Vishnoi inaugurated the competition. ECoR Chief Personnel Officer Manju Ray coordinated the two-day event.
