Kacheguda (KCG): In connection with Passenger and Customer Facilitation Fortnight celebrations “Rail Yatri/Upbhokta Pakhwada” an intensive cleanliness drive was conducted at Kacheguda Railway Station today,.28th May,2015. Shri Umesh singh, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway, Smt Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division, Shri B S K Raj Kumar, ADRM, Shri B D Christopher, Sr.DCM & other Senior Officials of the Hyderabad Division also participated in the program.
Interacting with the media on the occasion, Shri Umesh Singh called upon the passengers to keep the Railway premises clean to achieve better environs and healthy society. He further requested the public to follow guidelines and rules stipulated for the safety of passengers at stations and railway level crossings to ensure public safety as well as punctual running of trains.
Smt. Aruna Singh, stressed upon the co-operation from the general public and rail users for the upkeep of the amenities provided and also for maintaining cleanliness in and around the station premises. She highlighted the various passenger amenities available at Kacheguda station. Safety awareness drive and awareness campaigns including prevention of level crossing accidents involving the active participation of NGOs, local people, Scouts & Guides volunteers etc. She also advised the public to desist from stone pelting activity which is causing injuries to rail travellers and effecting the safe running of trains.
Earlier, Shri Umesh Singh and Smt Aruna Singh travelled by MMTS train in the morning hours from Sitafalmandi to Kacheguda to interact with passengers and to assess the expectations of rail users. They requested and emphasized the passengers to extend their cooperation for maintaining cleanliness to upkeep the facilities provided to them in and around Railway Stations and Railway premises. Passengers were also appraised on the various improvements made by the Railways as a part of passenger amenities and for safe running of trains.
On this occasion the members of Bharat Scouts & Guides, Cultural troupes also participated in the campaign and presented a variety of skits and songs to spread the awareness on several measures undertaken by Railways for the benefit of railway passengers and customers. The members volunteered to perform shramdaan at Railway Staff colony, Kacheguda & Sitafalmandi and distributed Pamphlets to spread the message of Cleanliness.
