IR’s 15-day Railyatri Upbhokta Pakhwada: Ludhiana seek feedback from passengers

Ludhiana (LDH): Acting on the directions of the Ministry of Railways, the railway authorities here kicked off a two-week programme for helping passengers on Tuesday.

On the first day of the programme, the Divisional Operations Manager and other officials interacted with passengers. According to information, the railways would now focus on building a strong relationship with passengers. During the programmem the railways will apprise the passengers of their rights and also of their duties while they travel by rail.

Divisional Operations Manager SP Singh Bhatia said the initiative by the ministry was a first of its kind and being carried out all over the country. “This will help build a strong bond between the passengers and the railway authorities,” he said. “The programme is primarily directed towards passenger amenities and customer facilitation and awareness about various achievements of Indian Railways during the preceding year.”

He said that during the interactions on the first day of the programme, they also asked for suggestions from passengers. Various other activities like exhibition, quiz and some other event would also be organised during the programme, he added.
