Japan to invest Rs.13000 Crore in Mumbai Metro

Aurangabad (AWB): Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr.Prithviraj Chavan has said that Japan government is keen to invest in state’s industries and public transport projects. In the ambitious Mumbai Metro project the Japan government has come forward and agreed to invest a substantial amount of Rs.13000 Crore.

Mr.Chavan said that, a delegation of Japan government had been to Mumbai and had detailed meeting with him. In the meeting the Japan government delegation showed its keenness in investment in the Mumbai Metro project and other infrastructure projects including the Delhi-Mumbai-Industrial-Corridor (DMIC). The process of land acquisition is on the verge of completion under the DMIC project and it will be started once it is completed.

He also said that Japan wants tourism increased in the internationally renowned historical caves of Ellora-Ajanta.
