कानपुर Kanpur (CNB): KDA has decided to send Kanpur Metro proposal again to the Central government. Authority’s earlier proposal was returned with directions that it should be sent through the state government. The decision was taken in the board meeting of the authority on Tuesday. The board also cleared the underground parking project at Phoolbagh Ground sans shops. Now KDA, would built parking slot at a cost of Rs 65 crores. A park with landscape would also be constructed there at a cost of Rs 17 crores. The board also cleared sale of KDA colonies to people residing in it. The board members were told that cost of flats was assessed between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. The other major decisions taken by the board included nod conversion of two industrial plots into residential accommodation. The members also sanctioned the site map of a plot in Jajmau
In order to check fake registry, it was also decided to maintain a record of mutation of freehold deeds. The wages of Parshad Pustkalaya workers were increased. Now they would get minimum wages as fixed by the government or the labour department. Members of the board also cleared a proposal to develop 11,000 acres of land between Ganga Barrage and Jajmau. It would strengthen the bank and develop it later. Giving relief to builders and developers whose buildings have been sealed since last year, Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) passed a proposal for reopening the seal. More than 400 buildings were sealed in the city due to illegal construction activities. The board decided to open the seal of buildings if the builder deposited the security amount along with an affidavit and demolished the unauthorized part of the building. KDA would give time limit and in that period, the builder would have to demolish the unauthorized part. Otherwise, the authority would forfeit the amount and take legal action against builders. If builder would demolish the unauthorized part, then the security money would be returned. Talking to newspersons, KDA vice-chairperson Jayshree Bhoj said builders had to give an affidavit for demolition of illegal construction. The illegal portions of the building would be made compoundable.
Railway Officials are electrifying Track from Auraiya – Anwarganj to Mandhana but in between one way is coming down. If there is project of Anwarganj-Mandhana train track to be moved off than the stations on that track can be Metro Stations.
Development of Anwarganj, Kalyanpur and Rawatpur stations has been done by using millions of Rupees. If track is being moved off than government is not going to leave stations like that. Officers told that Metro trains are planned to be run from Kanpur Central to Mandhana on flyover so that the crossing will get moved off. Rail Budgest is being waited to come. The first phase includes line from IIT Kanpur-Kanpur Anwarganj and second phase from Kanpur Anwarganj-Kanpur Airport.
