Kerala CM to hold meet on 29th April on Kochi Metro

तिरुवनंतपुरम Thiruvananthapuram (TVC): Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will chair a meeting of agencies concerned and people’s representatives on April 29 in Thiruvanathapuram to discuss issues pertaining to the progress of the Kochi Metro Rail project. According to an official statement from the Kochi Metro Rail Limited, the meeting is being held to evolve solutions to the burning issues affecting the progress of the project and senior officials from all departments concerned including Finance, Revenue, PWD, KSEB, KWA and representatives from the Kochi Corporation, and the GCDA would participate in the meeting along with KMRL and DMRC.

A formal decision to hold the meeting came on Thursday. Meanwhile, sources said the meeting was most likely to deliberate on the direct land purchase plan mooted by the KMRL, which had already given a letter to the Chief Secretary seeking permission in this regard.
