Thiruvananthapuram (TVC): The Kochi Metro will be extended from Kaloor to Kakkanad, chief minister Oommen Chandy said on Wednesday.
The 11.2 km extension will be done in the third phase of the project, the chief minister said here.
The project cost is estimated at Rs 2016.46 crore and 11 more Metro stations will be constructed as part of it.
The Cabinet decided to recommend to the Governor to convene the budget session of the Assembly from June 8 to July 2 and from July 20 to 30.
It has been decided to call an all-party meeting on June 3 to discuss the allegations of corruption raised by the Opposition in connection with the Vizhinjam project.
