The proposal of hiring the staff in West Asian country is on the back of Rs 8,250-crore contract to build a metro rail in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh, said the media report.

Moreover, the company will also shift some of its employees from India to Saudi Arabia, added the media report.

“We have reasonable resources in Riyadh but because it is a big project, we will send some of our important resources and hire more people locally,” L&T, Whole-Time Director and Senior Executive Vice-President (Infrastructure And Construction), S N Subrahmanyan, told media.

Moreover, the project is to be implemented over four years.
