Madar Railway Station – the 1st Satellite Station of Ajmer launched

AJMER: Madar Railway Station, the first satellite railway station of Ajmer, will start functioning from Wednesday. Three trains will run from this station. The station will ease the traffic on Ajmer railway station as well as on railway station road in the city. The railways will soon come up with second satellite railway station towards Beawer at Daorai.

Earlier, Madar was the substation towards Jaipur.

To ease the traffic on Ajmer railway station, the Divisional Railway Manager decided to make Madar a satellite railway station.

The first train to ply from the Madar satellite railway station will be Ajmer-Udaipur passenger and two weekly trains, Ajmer Kolkata and Ajmer Bandra Express.

Puneet Chawla, DRM/Ajmer Division of NWR said that the satellite station has been developed with future planning and there is 14 metre-wide and 400 metre-long approach road constructed with the aid of local bodies. There is 2,300 square metre circulating area, WiFi and digital displays as well as identification or coach number on platform.
