SECUNDERABAD: Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway called up on the staff to accord first priority to safety. He advised the officials to follow the policy of no compromise on safety. He conducted a review meeting on improvement of safety, punctuality and Loading today i.e., on 12th February, 2018 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments. The Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.
Vinod Kumar Yadav presented the “Man of the Month” safety awards to ten employees for displaying absolute dedication and alertness in the duty and taking timely action to prevent unsafe conditions.
The General Manager emphasized on according suitable priority to punctuality also by minimizing asset failures which are leading to late running of trains. He instructed all the officials to monitor personally each and every aspect such as loco failures, yard derailments and unusual happenings at level crossings etc. He instructed all the DRMs to focus on the Track maintenance, to ensure proper utilization of track related machines to achieve the target of Track renovation works. He also reviewed the zonal position on elimination of Unmanned level crossings with the DRMs and instructed to speed up the works to reach the target.
Vinod Kumar Yadav also held a detailed review on the loading performance of the Zone including supply of wagons as per demand etc.. While reviewing the passenger amenities, he instructed the officials to focus on speeding up of works related to FOBs, Escalators, Raising the height of platforms etc,. and further improvement of traffic facilities. General Manger instructed the officials to focus on the issues related to On-board housekeeping activities, garbage collection at selected stations, cleanliness of stations and trains and maintenance of Bio-toilets on war footing basis to improve the condition.
