Noida: Work of expansion of Metro from City Center to Sector-62 would start by first week of July. DMRC has issued tender for construction work of 6.67 kilometer long track. There would be a technical bid on June 3. It is hoped that company selection would be done by June 10.
Noida ACO P.K. Aggarwal has told that there would be a review meeting done to review many other works apart from track review on May 27. In this, working plan of shifting of trees and electrical lines that are coming in the way of the track would be made.
ACO told that metro would start to run by Dec. 2017. The complete track would be elevated. There would be six metro stations on this. There would be service of parking available at all six metro stations. The proposed extension will start from the dead end of the existing Noida City Center station and run straight along the median of Captain Shashi Kant Marg for about 2.2km before taking a left turn near Sector 52. It will run straight on the median of road leading to Sector 62 and along NH-24 for about 4.5km.
