MP Train Tragedy: Modi extends condolences to family of deceased

New Delhi: Expressing shock and grief over the twin rail accidents in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended his condolences to the family of the deceased.

Modi also hoped that adequate relief and rescue was being undertaken by the authorities concerned appropriately in time.

At least 28 people have died after two passenger trains, Kamayani Express and Janata Express, derailed within minutes of each other while crossing flooded tracks in Madhya Pradesh last night.

Several NDRF teams have been rushed to the site of the derailment to carry out relief and rescue operations.
