Nav Bharat Ekta Dal demands Rail line thru’ Kangra valley linking Pathankot with Leh & Ladakh via Jogindernagar

Kangra (KGRA): The Nav Bharat Ekta Dal has asked the Union government to initiate a railway project passing through the Kangra valley and connecting Pathankot with Leh and Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir via Jogindernagar in Mandi.PC Vishewkarma, national president of the dal, yesterday said if the Pathankot-Jogindernagar railway track got connected with Leh, it would prove to be beneficial in view of global scenario and relationships of neighbouring countries with India. He said China had already laid railway tracks which touched India’s borders, thus the Pathankot-Leh railway line could prove to be a boon for the country.He urged the Union Railway Ministry to improve the Kangra valley railway track. He said trains were being cancelled without any information and genuine reason putting people at the receiving end. Vishewkarma said the railway track passing through the Kangra valley was in bad shape and some bridges were in a pitiable condition.
