ALLAHABAD: North Central Railway general manager Alok Johri conducted the annual inspection of the Allahabad-Kanpur section on Friday. This section comes under the Allahabad division of NCR stretching from Mughalsarai to Ghaziabad. Senior railway officials of NCR and Allahabad division were present during the inspection.
The inspection train started from Allahabad railway junction at 10am. First of all, it reached Chowpathka crossing. The general manager inspected the bridge. After that, general manager inspected the level crossing 3-A located between Bamrauli and Manauri stations. He gave the instructions to the railway authorities regarding the level crossing.
Later, the general manager reached Manuari station. He also inspected the P-Way Training Institute and the staff quarters of the railwaymen located in the vicinity of the railway station. He also planted a sapling at the station.
Later, the inspection train went to Bharwari station. Johri inaugurated the waiting room at the station and the park. He also planted a sapling at this station stressing on preserving the greenery of the place. After that, he inspected the bridge constructed over the Sasur Khaderi river.
The inspection train arrived at Fatehpur station. He inaugurated the ladies waiting room and the sleeper class waiting room. The newly renovated UTS counter was also inaugurated at this station. Divisional railway manager Harendra Rao along with senior railway officers of the division were present during the inspection.
