NCR officials pledge to eradicate Corruption, bring in Transparency

ALLAHABAD: The ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ started at North Central Railway (NCR) on Monday with the administration of oath ceremony.

The general manager of NCR Alok Johri administered oath for eradication of corruption and honest working to the officers and employees.

The railway workers pledged to remain vigilant and work towards the growth and reputation of the organization through collective efforts.

In addition to this, various programmes are being organised at three divisions of Allahabad, Agra and Jhansi of NCR throughout the week. Teams of the vigilance department will visit headquarters and the divisions and provide information related to the circulars and rules of vigilance in the railways.

Meanwhile, the vigilance awareness week is also being observed at Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE) Allahabad, as per the instructions of Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi.

In the opening ceremony, general manager of CORE Jagdev Kalia lit the ceremonial lamp and garlanded the portrait of late Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The officials were subsequently administered the oath of honesty.

During the week, different programmes and competitions like essay and slogan writing, quiz and debate will be organised.

On October 29, a vigilance seminar will also be organized for officers and senior supervisors. On November 1, prize distribution ceremony will be organized and the programme will conclude on November 2.
