Mumbai: The proposal for an elevated railway corridor, which has been conceptualized by the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC), is expected to speed up travel time between Panvel and CST from nearly 90 minutes to 50. Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani, MD, Hiranandani Communities described this as a positive development for the Panvel – Navi Mumbai region. Work on the project is expected to commence from next year, he said. The opening of the Karjat – Panvel section for passenger traffic, as also doubling of tracks in the section will enhance rail connectivity with Pune as well, he added.
The railway terminus at Panvel, along with existing and planned connectivity to Pune and Mumbai will translate into Panvel and its surrounding region enjoying some of the best rail-connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The existing Panvel – CST sector has the Central Railway (CR) operating around 15 services during peak hours. The MRVC proposal will mean 25 services on its elevated, high-speed corridor during peak hours. The MVRC proposal includes trains being air-conditioned, this would be a definite boost to real estate in the Panvel – Navi Mumbai region, said Niranjan Hiranandani.
Hiranandani Fortune City, Panvel, is an integrated township which follows the success story of Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, as also Hiranandani Estate, Thane. This mega township comprises tree-lined boulevards, landscaped gardens, a hospital, a school, clubhouses and a sports complex. A township of the future, it is equipped with affordable lifestyle amenities, reliable power supply and easily accessible location. In the first phase, alongside residential spaces, future-ready work spaces have been planned in form of the Hiranandani Business Park (HBP). “The work spaces that HBP offers will be intelligently-designed office spaces spread across a massive 2 million sq. ft. Effectively, Hiranandani Fortune City will make the concept of “walk to work and walk back home” a reality,” explained Niranjan Hiranandani.
In the increasingly crowded Mumbai business landscape, Panvel is all set to emerge as being among Mumbai’s hottest real estate destinations. The Navi Mumbai International Airport, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link and positive developments on the railway network will boost Panvel’s position as the next big real estate hub in the MMR. The Panvel – Vashi – Alibaug ‘golden triangle of possibilities’ makes real estate development in Panvel ‘future perfect’: Vashi being a growing business hub and Alibaug, a popular tourist attraction. “With the infrastructure growth story hitting ‘big time’, this golden triangle offers a plethora of opportunities for business as well as tourism and leisure,” said Niranjan Hiranandani. “An added advantage for Panvel’s real estate is that the MVRC elevated high-speed Panvel – CST rail corridor will also include a link to the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and the Navi Mumbai international airport,” he added.
The new CST – Panvel Corridor proposed by MVRC will be a game changer for Navi Mumbai and Panvel Realty, said Niranjan Hiranandani, adding that those who opt for Hiranandani Fortune City, Panvel, an integrated and self-sufficient township situated at the centre of the ‘golden triangle’, will reap the benefits. “A township of the future, it is equipped with affordable lifestyle amenities, reliable power supply and easily accessible location. In the months to come, Hiranandani Business Park coming up in Hiranandani Fortune City, Panvel, will reinforce Panvel’s position as the newest commercial hub in the MMR,” concluded Niranjan Hiranandani.
