In an absorbing final, the GSA boys had the last laugh as they got the better of Jorhat 65-48.
However, at the end of the first half, GSA were only leading by only three points with the score line reading 29-26.
Earlier in the day, GSA had a close semi-final encounter against Sivasagar, winning 41-33.
In the other semi-final, the Jorhat boys got the better of NFRSA 69-60.
However, the girls’ final proved to be a one-sided affair with NFRSA drubbing Goalpara 57-17 to annex the crown.
The NFR cagers enjoyed home support.
The Goalpara girls could not resist the moves of their opponents, who were accurate with their throws as well.
