North Western Railway posts 26% increase in revenue collection

Jaipur – The North Western Railway (NWR) has registered a expansion of 26% in revenue collection in the year 2012-13 as compared to the earlier year.

NWR Spokesperson Mr. Tarun K Jain said, “Whole revenue collection in 2012-13, which is 26% more than Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-12, is INR 5,002.07 crore.”

He said, “Maximum expansion of 35.44% is in the earnings from goods whereas the collection from passenger tickets is 15.26% more than that of the previous year.”

He said, in the present financial, passenger tickets and goods generated earnings is INR 1,170.83 crore and INR 3,562 crore respectively.
