Northern Railway GM halts at Ludhiana for just 10 minutes

LUDHIANA: The general manager of northern railways VK Gupta did not step out of the train on Tuesday when his train halted at the city railway station on Tuesday.

 In his earlier schedule, Gupta had to conduct an inspection drive at the station.

Meanwhile, the Northern Railway Mazdoor Union (NRMU) gave a memorandum regarding their demands to the general manager who stayed inside the train at the railway station for ten minutes.

Gupta was traveling from Jammu to New Delhi in a special train.

Divisional railway manager NC Goyal and other officials were also present. However, the staff of the city railway station had made advance preparations to maintain the cleanliness at the railway station which did not bear any result.
