इस्लामाबाद Islamabad: Pakistan Railways will run Azadi Train on August 11 in connection with Independence Day celeberations and to create awareness among the masses especially younger generations about the efforts, sacrifices and even atrocities rendered by them for creation of Pakistan by vivisecting India.
The train will start its a month-long journey from Peshawar on August 11 and reach Karachi on September 11 (strikingly coinciding with the 9/11 attacks on U.S.A. by Osama Bin Laden). Two compartments of the train have also been allocated specifically to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) to aspects of the various separatist movement and breath taking valour exhibited by the Armed Forces for bifurcating India on communal lines .
One compartment is allocated to PR highlighting history, while another was allocated to the Ministry of Information. Six floats on the train represent culture of each province and AJK. Governors of all the four provinces and foreign diplomats will also visit. Various government departments are collaborating in preparation of Azadi train which will go all cities of the country depicting the culture of all the four provinces besides Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. It is endeavor of Pakistan Railways to get sponsorship for Azai Train instead of spending money from the national exchequer. Cultural programs will also be presented at Azadi Train to attract more and more people.
In Sialkot, thousands of people from all walks of life participated in rallies brought out in the city and surrounding areas in connection with Independence Day celebrations on Wednesday.
Members of Punjab Assembly Manshaullah Butt and Ch Muhammad Ikram, DCO Nadeem Sarwar and the Pakistan Movement’s worker Khawaja Abdul Salam led the rally taken out from Muslim League House on Paris Road in the city, which ended at Allama Iqbal Chowk after marching on main roads.
A colourful national flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Government Murray College. MPAs Manshaullah Butt and Ch Muhammad Ikram and others addressed a seminar also and highlighted various aspects of the Pakistan Movement.Meanwhile, hundreds of people, including students, teachers, journalists, traders and civil society representatives brought out a rally from Daska TMA. MPAs Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Mrs Shabeena Majid Wayne and Ch Mohsin Ashraf, Assistant Commissioner Ch Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhoon and TMO Daska Malik Tariq Zia led the rally.
In the Sialkot district, the Independence Day celebrations have got momentum. Roads, streets, houses, government buildings and bazaars have been decorated with thousands of small and big sized national flags and colourful bounties in the city, Sialkot Cantt, Ugokki, Sambrial, Badiana, Chovinda, Pasrur and surrounding areas. DCO Nadeem Sarwar, taling to the media, said seminars, symposiums, walks, rallies, speech and national songs were being organized across the district to mark importance of the day under the supervisions of TMAs. Cultural shows and sports would also be organized besides providing the maximum opportunities of recreation to people as well, he added. Hyderabad: President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Hyderabad District Muhammad Hanif Siddiqui has called upon all political parties to support the government in its efforts to make the country an economic tiger of the world.
