Hyderabad: Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister laid the Foundation stone for construction of a new Railway line between Manoharabad-Kothapalli, connecting Hyderabad and Karimnagar , apart from several other projects at a function held at Gajwel, Medak District, Telangana today i.e, 7th August, 2016. E.S.L. Narasimhan, Hon’ble Governor, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh; K. Chandrashekar Rao, Hon’ble Chief  Minister of Telangana, Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, M.Venkaiah Naidu, Piyush Goyal, Ananth Kumar, Hon’ble Union Ministers were amongst a galaxy of  dignitaries present on the occasion.

Addressing the huge gathering on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the Centre & Telangana Government joining hands to take up projects together reflects a positive sign of co-operative federalism towards taking the nation forward. Elaborating on the role of Railways in nation’s growth, he stated that rail connectivity is vital for development and infrastructure growth is the need which serves this task. Economic progress and Railway connectivity go hand in hand for National progress, he stressed.

Although the people of the state have wanted the rail line between Manoharabad and Kothapalli for a long time, their wish is fulfilled only today with the laying of foundation stone for the new line, the Prime Minister added and expressed confidence that the project will see fulfillment as scheduled.

K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, in his speech stated that the Manoharabad-Kothapalli new Railway line will basically serve as a much needed direct rail link connecting Hyderabad with Karimnagar. The taking up of this project fulfills a long cherished dream of the people, he added. He acknowledged that the dynamism of Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu in resolving issues very fast, which enabled the work on Hyderabad Metro Rail to proceed smooth. Earlier, Bandaru Dattatreya, welcomed the Prime Minister, other dignitaries in his brief address.

Salient Features of New Railway Line:

  • The Manoharabad-Kothapalli new Railway line, to a length of 150 kms is being taken up at an anticipated cost of Rs.1160 Crore.
  • The new line will directly connect Hyderabad with Karimnagar for the first time by rail, passing through places hitherto not on the Railway map.
  • The new rail line majorly covers a stretch of 88 kms in Medak District & 59 kms in Karimnagar District with a small balance of 4 kms falling in Warangal District in between.
  • The new line will have 13 Railway stations enroute, in addition to already existing Manoharabad and Kothapalli. These are Nacharam, Iranagaram, Gajwel, Kodakandla, Lakdaram, Duddeda, Siddipet, Gurralagondi, Chinna Lingapur, Sircilla, Vemulavada, Boinpally and Wedira.
  • With the major locations on the route being important towns of Telangana, the new line holds immense potential for rise in economic activity and development.
  • On completion, the new line will reduce travel time between various stations enroute.
  • The new line linkage holds the added benefit of acting as a viable alternative route between Secunderabad-New Delhi via Karimnagar.

Suresh Prabhu Flags off New Trains, inaugurates Passenger Amenities at Secunderabad Railway Station

Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways Flagged off Train No.11307 Gulbarga-Hyderabad (Daily) Intercity Express; Train No.11083 Mumbai LTT-Kazipet (Weekly) Tadoba Express and Time Tabled (Weekly) CONCOR Cargo Express Service from Nagalapalli to Tuglakabad (via Remote Video Link. He also commissioned Two Lifts at Nizamabad Railway Station  (Via Remote Video Link) will Inaugurate AC Retiring Rooms and Dormitory on Platform No.1, Secunderabad Station and  100% LED lighting at Hyderabad and Kacheguda Stations at Secunderabad Railway Station on 8th August, 2016.

Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Minister of State for Labour and Employment (Independent Charge), Govt. of India; Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Govt. of India are the Guests of Honour. The function was be also attended by other public representatives and dignitaries.

Inaugural run of 01311 Gulbarga-Hyderabad Special (Revised Timings):-

Train No. 01311 Gulbarga-Hyderabad inaugural special train starts from Gulbarga at 08:00 hrs (instead of 09.00 hrs) on 8th August, 2016 (Monday) and arrive Hyderabad at 12:35 hrs (instead of 13:35) hrs on the same day.

Enroute this inaugural run service stops at Shahabad, Wadi, Tandur, Vikarabad and Lingampalli stations.

Inaugural run of 01183 Mumbai LTT-Kazipet Special (Revised Timings):-

Train No. 01183 Mumbai LTT-Kazipet inaugural special train starts from Mumbai LTT at 08:00 hrs (instead of 09:00 hrs) on 8th August, 2016 (Monday) and arrive Kazipet at 11:25 hrs (instead of 12:25 hrs) on the next day.

In the opposite direction, Train No. 01184 Kazipet-Mumbai LTT inaugural special will depart Kazipet at 17:45 hrs on 9th August, 2016 (Tuesday) and arrive Mumbai LTT at 23:15 hrs on the next day.

Enroute these inaugural run services will have stops at Thane, Kalyan, Nasik Road, Manmad, Nagarsol, Lasur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Purna, H.S.Nanded, Mudkhed, Bhokar, Himayat Nagar (Deccan), Kinwat, Adilabad, Pimpalkutti, Wani, Majri Khadan, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Bellampalli, Manchiryal, Ramagundam, Peddapalli and Jamikunta stations in both the directions. These trains will consist of 15 Coaches viz., four AC III Tier, six Sleeper, three General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake van Coaches.

Regular service Timings of Train No. 11307/11308 Gulbarga-Hyderabad-Gulbarga Intercity Express

The regular services will commence from 8th August, 2016 Ex. Hyderabad and from 9th August, 2016 Ex. Gulbarga.

Accordingly, Train No. 11307 Gulbarga-Hyderabad Daily Intercity Express will depart Gulbarga at 10:15 hrs and arrive Hyderabad at 14:50 hrs on the same day.

In the opposite direction, Train No. 11308 Hyderabad-Gulbarga Daily Intercity Express will depart Hyderabad at 16:00 hrs and arrive Gulbarga at 21:00 hrs on the same day.

Enroute, these trains will stop at Shahabad, Wadi, Tandur, Vikarabad and Lingampalli stations in both the directions. This train will consist of 13 Coaches viz., one AC Chair Car, ten Second Sitting and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake van Coaches.

Regular service Timings of Train No. 11083/11084 Mumbai LTT-Kazipet-Mumbai LTT Weekly Tadoba Express:

The regular services will commence from 12th August, 2016 Ex.Mumbai and from 13th August, 2016 Ex. Kazipet.

Accordingly, Train No. 11083 Mumbai LTT-Kazipet Weekly Tadoba Express will depart Mumbai LTT at 11:30 hrs on (Fridays) and arrive Kazipet at 15:00 hrs on the next day.

In the opposite direction, Train No. 11084 Kazipet-Mumbai LTT Weekly Tadoba Express will depart Kazipet at 17:45 hrs on (Saturdays) and arrive Mumbai LTT at 23:15 hrs on the next day.

Enroute, these trains will also stop at Thane, Kalyan, Nasik Road, Manmad, Nagarsol, Lasur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Purna, H.S.Nanded, Mudkhed, Bhokar, Himayat Nagar (Deccan), Kinwat, Adilabad, Pimpalkutti, Wani, Majri Khadan, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Bellampalli, Manchiryal, Ramagundam, Peddapalli and Jamikunta stations in both the directions.
