Rail Minister introduce Yesvantpur-Hassan-Yesvantpur, Hubli-Chickbenkal and Pilibhit-Majhola Pakariya train services

NEW DELHI: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu launched Yesvantpur-Hassan-Yesvantpur (South Western Railway), Hubli-Chickbenkal (South Western Railway) and Pilibhit-Majhola Pakariya passenger train (North Eastern Railway, Izzatnagar Division) services on various Railway Zones through video conferencing from Railway Board. Besides, the Jabalpur-Sukrimangela passenger train services was extended to Ghansore.

INTRODUCTION OF TRAIN NO.22679/22680 YESWANTPUR-HASSAN-YESVANTPUR DAILY SUPERFAST INTERCITY EXPRESS

Railways has decided to introduce Train No.22679/22680, Yesvantpur-Hassan-Yesvantpur Daily Superfast Intercity Express. The inaugural special was flagged off by Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Minister for Railways, H.D. Devegowda, MP  & Former Prime Minister, Siddarmaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka and other dignitaries on 26th March, 2017 at 11:00 hrs. from Yesvantpur station and the inaugural special runs from Yesvantpur to Hassan with open timings. The regular service of this train will commence with effect from 27th March, 2017.  The train has stoppages at Chikbanavar, Nelamangala, Kunigal, Yediyuru, B.G. Nagar, Shravanabelagola, Channarayapatna in both directions.

Accordingly, Train No. 22680, Hassan-Yesvantpur Daily Superfast Intercity Express departs Hassan at 06:30 hrs and reaches Yesvantpur at 09:15 hrs. Enroute, the train arrives/departs Channarayapatna at 06:58/06:59 hrs., Shravanabelagola at 07:06/07:07 hrs., B.G. Nagar at 07:34/07:35 hrs., Yediyuru at 07:47/07:48 hrs., Kunigal at 08:02/08:03 hrs., Nelamangala at 08:44/08:45 hrs., Chikbanavar at 08:58/09:00 hrs.

In the return direction, Train No. 22679, Yesvantpur-Hassan Daily Superfast Intercity Express departs Yesvantpur at 18:15 hrs. and arrives Hassan at 21:00 hrs. Enroute, the train arrives/departs Chikbanavar at 18:24/18:25 hrs., Nelamangala at 18:36/18:37 hrs., Kunigal at 19:13/19:14 hrs., Yediyuru at 19:28/19:29 hrs., B.G.Nagar at 19:40/19:41 hrs., Shravanabelagola at 20:09/20:10 hrs., Channarayapatna at 20:18/20:19 hrs.

The train composition will have 14 coaches comprising of Four Second Class Chair Car Coaches, Eight Deendayalu Coaches and Two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brakevan /Disabled Coaches.

INTRODUCTION OF TRAIN NO. 56927/56928, HUBBALLI-CHIKKABENKAL- HUBBALLI  DAILY FAST PASSENGER

Railway has decided to introduce Train No. 56927/56928, Hubballi-Chikkabenkal-Hubballi daily fast passenger. The inaugural special was flagged off by Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Minister for Railways on 31st March, 2017 at 15:00 hrs. from Rail Bhavan, New Delhi and the inaugural special runs from Ginigera to Chikkabenkal and back to Hubballi on open timings.

The train composition will have 6 coaches comprising of Four General Second class Coaches and Two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brakevan.

The regular service of Hubballi-Chikkabenkal-Hubballi daily fast passenger train will commence with effect from 1st April, 2017.

Accordingly, Train No. 56927, Hubballi-Chikkabenkal daily fast passenger departs Hubballi at 11.00 hrs.  and reaches Chikkabenkal at 14.30 hrs. Enroute, the train arrives/departs Annigeri at 11.36/11.37 hrs., Hulkoti at 11.44/11.45 hrs., Gadag at 12.00/12.02 hrs., Bannikoppa at 12.48/12.49 hrs., Banapur at 12.59/13.00 hrs., Koppal at 13.17/13.18 hrs., Ginigera at 13.30/13.32 hrs, Budagumpa at 13.47/13.48, Jabbalaguda at 13.58/13.59.

In the return direction, Train No. 56928, Chikkabenkal – Hubballi Daily fast passenger departs Chikkabenkal at 15.00 hrs. and arrives Hubballi at 18.45 hrs. Enroute, the train arrives/departs Jabbalaguda at 15.12/15.13 hrs., Budagumpa at 15.22/15.23 hrs., Ginigera at 15.37/15.39 hrs., Koppal at 15.52/15.54 hrs., Banapur at 16.08/16.09 hrs., Bannikoppa at 16.20/16.21 hrs., Gadag at 17.03/17.05 hrs Hulkoti at 17.31/17.32 hrs., Annigeri at 17.41/17.42 hrs.

The regular train composition will have 11 coaches comprising of One Sleeper class Eight General Second class Coaches and Two Second Class Luggage-cum-Brakevan.

“The projects which are getting commissioned today were started long ago. Our government is committed to fulfil the promises,” Prabhu said after flagging off the trains through video conferencing from here. Prabhu said, “this is an important event as it falls on the last day of financial year. Indian Railways has set tough targets for the year 2016-17. The meaning of target was changed from completion of project to commissioning of project.”

Highlighting the railways’ achievements, He said, “In 2016-17, Railways had set 2,800 km target for gauge conversion, doubling and tripling. We have successfully accomplished 2,855 km in 2016-17.”

Similarly on railways exceeded electrification target from 1730 km to 2000 km in 2016-17, he said. The Minister said railways is taking many steps like tree plantation, restoration of water bodies.
