Ibrahimpur (IMR): Member of Parliament Mr.Ramesh Jigajinagi said that the Central Government has agreed to build Railway over-bridge (ROB) at Ibrahimpur railway crossing on the cost sharing basis.
Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, he said that while the told cost of the project was estimated at Rs. 22 crore, fifty per cent would be shared by Railway Ministry and remaining by the State government.
He said that the he would try to get an underpass built at another railway crossing at Ganesh Nagar area of Vijayapura.
Mr. Jigajinagi said that under Deendayal Upadhaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), he has sought the Union Government to grant Rs. 250 crore for the erection of new lines for the supply of electricity in the district.
“I have also sought Rs. 315 crore under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) for replacing of old drinking water supply pipelines with new one for improving the facility”, he said.
Mr. Jigajinagi informed that the Railway Ministry has earmarked Rs. 50 crore for railway track doubling project between Gadag and Solapur, and added that more funds would be allotted in phased manner.
On the long pending demand for shifting of Goods shed from Gol Gumbaz back road to the outskirts of Vijayapura, he said that a proposal of Rs. 8 crore had been sent to shift the shed to Aliabad village.
