PUNE: The Pune railway administration has said that schedules of three trains in Pune division will remain affected between May 10 and 11 because of the proposed subway work between Rukdi and Gurmarket stations on Pune-Kolhapur track.
A railway official said, “Chatrapati Shivaji terminus (CST)-Kolhapur Sahyadri express (11023) will regulate at the Rudki station on May 11 for 38 minutes. The Sangli-Kolhapur passenger (51429) will travel up to Miraj on May 10. The train will remain cancelled between Miraj and Kolhapur. The Kolhapur-Pune passenger (51410) will depart for Pune from Miraj station instead of Kolhapur. The train will not run between Kolhapur and Miraj on May 11”.
The official said that the subway is scheduled at 37/1-2 kilometers between Rukdi and Gurmarket stations. A road will be constructed below the railway track due to which the rail track will remain close for train traffic from May 10 at 11.10 pm up to May 11 at 6.10 am.
The administration has said that after completion of subway work, the level crossing gate number 23 will remain closed for vehicular traffic as the administration will eliminate the gate. The administration has planned to eliminate level crossing gates on Pune-Kolhapur track and Daund-Baramati track in a phased manner.
