Railway traffic disrupted on Ludhiana-Phillaur section

Phillaur, Punjab: Up line rail traffic remained distrupted on Ludhiana-Phillaur rail section for more than one hour due to cracks that in the railway lines near Phillaur railway station owing to extensive heat last night.

Phillaur Station Superintendent Bunesh Arora confirmed the snag and told this correspondent here today that after passing 12459 Howrah Express, cracks were noticed by the railway employees and the up line trains were stopped in midway to prevent any mishap.

Amritsar bound Shatawadi Express was halted at Ludhiana Railway Station, Amritsar bound Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express at outer signal of Phillaur Railway Station, Haridwar-Amritsar Jan Shatawadi Express train at Ladhuwal Railway Station for about one hour and could proceed for their destinations after repairing the damaged track, which was crossed with caution speed.
